some are underated

but they are okay as a LOW budget amp.....

if you're a baller on a budget get you a hifonics

I personally bought a hifonics 1208 and a fosgate bd 1000.1 (rated at 1206 rms @ 1 ohm) and a fosgate 600.1bd

the fosgate 1200 rms rated amp blew the hifonics out of the water

the hifonics was keeping up with the 600.1 which is rated at 814 rms @ 2 ohm (birthsheet)

Running from teh same 15" sub dual 2 ohm, in same enclosure

Old school (up to the X series) were made by Zed Audio and were great.

Anything newer than that and they have a reputation as mid fi, low end mass market products.

They will get the job done, but buy from an authorized dealer so you have a warranty.

thanks guys . im just trying to put every thing to gether. every day it changes lol . im looking for a 1 ohm stable amp that does at least 1600 rms . i wana push 4 400 rms subs

as long as their cea rated their not overated as far as im concerned.

since when is hfonics been up to par with CEA?

and CEA certification has more to worry about THD then rated power

cadence with be your best bet over hifnocs IMO

if you can find one, a TXA 1000 can be found for 2 bills with a warranty, it it will do 1k with good elctrical

it really depends on the amp. the xx and xxv series are great, a couple of the bigger bxi's, and the crunch gp 300d pro are all the best maxx has to offer.

what if i underpower the subs a tad and go with somthing that is 1200 rms and not tax my electrical system as hard. even with the big 3 who knows what it will be like at 1200 rms im running only 300 rms to each of my subs.

well the amp is HIFONICS BRUTUS BXi1606D 1600W Mono i asked about it the othere day i was told go with the 1800 so this amp but in the 1800 series. and subs ummm kicker comps 2 ohm dual voice coil 400 rms 800 watts. im still not sure about those subs i got some local guys helping me out big time with a set up . so i might do 2 good 12s . the 4 is like 330 or so i could just get 2 good 12s some were around 150 each. im just new to this and i dont know many companies. so im trying to find some
