LMAO so what Hifonics amp did u own?

Read up some posts. I never said I owned one personally. I gave experiences of people I know who have owned them. Like I said, I knew a couple people who had them, and they burned out. Maybe it was a coincidence, just like it's a coincidence that someoen I know has ran a little Lanzar 268 or something for the past several years. The thing still goes.

Which brings me back to my original thought. Lower cost amps like these can often change opinions based solely on experiences. Someone can think Hifonics is good because they had luck with them, others can think they are bad because they didn't.

Is there anything wrong with me saying that?

Thats not what you said. You said they are shit, period. You didn't say "In my opinion" blah blah blah.
Go spend your thousands of dollars on your precious SQ amplifiers, SQ RCA cables, and SQ premium speaker wire. Ever heard of the Placebo effect? You should read up on it.

Are you upset because of my equipment? I really don't understand.

And yes, If I was stating they are shit, that's my opinion. I was the one who said it, that makes it opinion. I didn't say, it's a FACT that Hifonics is shit. I stated what I felt about amps like them.

So, you are going to sneer at me because I've worked hard for money and spend it on quality components? Sure, I've heard of the placebo effect.

The thing is, I have blindly tested the amps I have in the car now. I did it next to my old JL 500, and a friends eD nine.5. Three different amps in the same test, and every time I could tell, without a doubt, when my amp was plugged in.

It's more than just watts. Don't state that I have an elite ear or about some test some guy conducted. I tested it first hand, and it's clear as day.

People at SQ comps aren't running Lanzar, and there is a reason for that. You try to make it sound like I just wasted thousands of dollars on overpriced amps where I could have accomplished the same SQ with budget amps.

The poster asked if anyone had any experience. I told him of my experience, as well as the things people on the forums say. I didn't try to 'open' anything. He asked for experiences, and we all gave them.
I didn't jump on anyone for stating their experiences, but I got jumped on saying I'm a retard and that people I know have no idea and should quit car audio. I just don't understand it. Does that seem very fair?

You just took it the wrong way. I'm not mad at anyone. It's car audio forums. Some folks just need to relax, wishing slow death on me. That's just inappropriate. In my original post I had it was my friends setup. I was just saying that he asked for experiences, so I gave him my experiences (that happened to my friend).

Everyone has a different opinion on everything in car audio. IMO there is is no absolute truth to any of this its your ear that has to hear it what sounds good to you might sound like crap to me and visa versa. so lets leave it alone

I say do what's right for you. That's what I do. After I shipped off both my Autotek Supersport amps, I missed the hell out of them. I figured I could sell them off and find a Mean Machine brand new at the flea market or something. Nope. I just ordered an AQ 2200D today. I am very sure that I will like that amp. Shit, if not I know there are plenty of takers on this site.

Bottom line is, what's good to some may not be good to others. I just don't want to run a Hifonics amp because everybody and their mother around my way either has that or a Kicker. Or a Boss or flea market brands. I just want to have a different setup than the rest. So as far as you not liking the brand, that's our thing. I won't call you a jagoff or wish death on you because you prefer brands with higher pricetags on them. Get what you can afford. The bottom line is that it pleases you. Fuk the rest. I could care less if ou or anybody doesn't like my system. When I finally get it all together, I will. My build will be better than the one I did last year. And next year if I still have the car will be better than this year.

I try to upgrade every summer as well. It's a fun hobby, but it's getting to the point where the spending is becoming quite high!

I think I will start working more on custom placement and things like that. I'm usually not a fan of doing fiberglass work on my auto.
