who here has experience with the hifonics bx1500d. are they pretty reliable. and do they put out decent power at 1 ohm. and are they stable below that?

i've ran a few of the 1500d. i've never had a problem. they do pretty good power at 1-ohm but not quite rated. i wouldnt run them below 1-ohm or you're askin for trouble. good all around budget amp tho

i have a bx2005d and its an awsome amp and i am runnin at 1 ohms and it give alot of power so i am sure the bx1500d would be a good amp 2

never had that exact amp but i know none of the lower classes are stable below 1 ohm, im not 100% sure but i think you can use the xx and xxv series can do .5ohm for burps.

I never saw a difference in a Hifonics amp compared with other budget amps. In terms of reliability, I've known two people who have had them burn out. Maybe it's a coincidence. I also know someone who swears by his Lanzar amp he's used for the past 5 years. Maybe that's just a coincidence as well.

I feel it's always going to be a toss up when you spend low for a decent amount of watts. As for SQ, well, that apparently doesn't exist. Maybe you should test your luck with a Lanzar, even thought hey are more overrated than Hifonics. They are cheaper than Hifonics, though, so you can probably buy more watts.

I'ved used Lanzar Opti amps for the last 2 years; They put out rated power and will kick the shit out of anything in it's price range, and even some more expensive.

Others have used Hifonics for years, and had no problems. maybe you should tell those two people to quit car audio, because they obviously don't know what they're doing.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about either... Go run back to your local dealer, give him a huge BJ and let him tell you that McIntosh watts are 3x more powerful than "cheap watts"

Was there something wrong with what I said? I stated some experiences from people I know who has used both Hifonics and Lanzar. You think Hifonics is superior. Others may think a different amp is superior. You seem to be a bit of a bigot.

I don't need a dealer to tell me anything. I've actually done A/B comparisons between low end amps, and high end amps. I was always skeptical about the difference an amp can make, but now I am a believer.

Just because two people I know had their Hifonics die on them, they should quit car audio? They broke because they don't know what their doing, and not just because the amp broke?

You have some sort of fanhood to Hifonics.
