Hifonics vs Rockford Fosgate

I currently have RF power series (new mini series) amps in both my 300ZX and Toyota 4-Runner. There has been so much positive information about the Hifonics amps that I considered switching out the system in my truck. In my truck I have a RF T1500-1BD & T400-4 amp hooked up to 2 RF 12 T1's and all Boston Acoustic speakers (separates up front).

What is everyone's opinion on Hifonics Brutus and Zeus lines vs. Rockford Fosgate's power series lines?

I would take RF any day of the week, however if budget was an issue Hifonics makes a decent product for the $$$

i just got an older fosgate 1100a2 and it is one of the most powerful 2ch amps that i have used. and its very clean also so i would stick with fosgate

hifonics brutus came out with some good amps i would pick over a rockford amp any day

My rockford amp blew on me for no reason. But everyone else has had really good luck with them. I just moved on to what I know will work - sundown.

My friends Hifonics went up in smoke the day before but that was because of user error.

I would say stay with the Rockford though, they will do rated power unlike Hifonics.

the rockford power line is very impressive. I ran my t400-2 down to 1ohm with no problems. My friend ran both of his 1500-1d's down to 0.5ohm for 7 hours at full volume and they only got hot once (then came back on after a few minutes). These amps are beastly. I've had brutus amps and they just do not compare to the quality of the Rockford power series
