the ap 15001 has been around for 3 yrs. ap has been around for 7-8yrs....
Agreed. My amp's board has been in use since 2001... and not many complaints.
I have verified (though not "properly") that it does ~1100 @ 1.8-2 ohms (after rise), on 11.8 V (crappy electrical). 45V AC and 25 A, with little to no distortion. Believe what you want, but it's not just the 4 ohm rating that's accurate. I'd bet my hat it does nearly, if not more than it's rating at 14.4V.
Unverified /= not credible... you're welcome to an opinion that's equally valid to mine.
Conversely, if Hifonics hadn't been disproven so many times (06 and 08 serieses, not the 10 series) their amps would hold alot more credibility. This also doesn't apply to their XX and XXV serieses... which have been excellent designs.
Don't get me wrong. I know ALOT of people who are happy with their Hifonics amps. They do near rated (at 14.4), and produce an excellent product for their price (when used properly).
But between the two... there is a slight difference, and it's in AP's favor.
