Hifonics sq?

I have had Hifonics Brutus and XX series amps i think the XX series is wayyyyyyyyyyyy better, also had MTX and alpine. I think the XX series produced better over all.

The 1606 is much more powerful than both the mtx and alpine amps that I have owned. I can't really tell a difference but if I had to choose, id go with the alpine as far as SQ was concerned.

First of all, my argument is that amps do have SQ.

Second of all, I never put Alpine, Hifonics, and Pyramid in the same class. I was merely stating that amps like them are found in the 'lower' budget. But yes, in my opinion, Alpine and the likes are crap.

And in case you didn't figure it out, the last line where I said to get a JL at the very least, that was a joke. A slightly better education might have told you that.

Seriously guys, wishing somebody death? Grow up. If you feel differenlty, state your opinions why. Regardless of what they may be, Hifonics and Alpine don't come rolling off the tongue when we talk quality and SQ.

ha ha ha .... I leave for like a month and this is the first thread I open. I see nothing has changed.

Mr Dave, if you really believe what you say - there is a guy named Richard Clark who has a challenge for you. You compare any two amps (that are gained matched to .01 dB with all the other features on the amp bypassed) and you have to guess which amp is playing 10 times out of 10. This a double blind ABX test. With your elitist ear, this should be no problem. By the way, some of the best trained ears in the music industy have taken the challenge - no one has done better than a 7 of 10, statistically just lucky guessing. If you guess all 10 times, you get $10,000.

ive had 2 hi fonics amos fro a year and a half now

i actaully kno wut im talking about too

ive pushed them hard all the time

they dont have perfect rated power but close enough

especially for the cash

i just built a box for 4 12s that im putting in

i have a Bxi2608D and it sounds fine

im gettn another one so each set of 12s has its own amp

for the money its a good deal

not the best amp in the world by any means...

but i havent had any complaints with mine and i can flex my roof with the amp

so 300 bux to me is a good deal

So what everyone is telling me is that there is no point in buying anything better than a Hifonics? That is as good as an amp can get in terms of SQ?

What a shame, I wasted so many thousands of dollars when I could have gotten the same results with a Hifonics. Oh well.

And I have done many A/B comparisons between amplifiers.

These forums never cease to amaze me. I'm done in this thread because apparently I'm wrong.

Alpine makes great sq amps and their type x is a great sq woofer.

Most head units have a 110 S/N ratios and most of their products are fairly inexpensive.

ok first off ALPINE, is one of the number 1 audio/video leaders in the WORLD! simple as that, what company spends 200grand on a hummer to simply display there shit at a sema show? noone, atleast not with a high end vehicle. personally i dont use or even like alpine that much other than nice solid HU's, and if you argue the HU's not good well then you got issues and just wanna run mouth and argue dumb shit to make your post count go up, hats off to you people like that and congrats. meanwhile, as far as budget goes, then hifonics cant really be beat on overall power, SQ, looks, durability within the same class or price range. sure ill admit there a prolly 1million better companys out there but most of us dont got the money to spend 2thousand dollars on a 600watt amp that comes with a lil midget plated in gold to play with yo nuts while we drive our hoopdies! hifonics has been around for over 25years makin this stuff so yes it is possible they found a way to make a decent quality product out of decent quality parts and sell it for cheap, 90% of the time the only reason shit cost so much is because you just bought a name brand and got a free amp with it. my boy owns a shop and even he said your just buyin a name, most people pay 500 dollars for an amp that cost the dealers 80bucks! and also my boy said in order to be an authorized dealer for memphis, which he is, the require you to sell there product at a certain price range so they keep there reputation as a "high-end" product, and i know some of the dealers on here can vouch for that! meanwhile hifonics is good, i too am a budget builder and cant wait around for an extra 150 to come out my @$$ so i can buy an amp, (got 1 kid costin me 140/week in CS, a son thats 4months old, 2 step kids that are 2.5 years and a car payment, insurance, rent, phone, cable, electricity, water, gas for my 7.2MPG jeep, and we all gotta eat right?, oh yeah what about that occasional night out, it not free) anyways its great if your not a millionaire! i have all hifonics componetns, subs and right now saving up for 2 1000w hifon amps! and for the cheapest go to onlinecarstereo.com there im done my rant, im sick of lil bishes talkin crap on everything when they don realize we not like them, mommy and daddy wont buy us this shit for christmas, we gotta work for it and need to get decent not the best and cant spen a mill doin it!

So why was he running only the top of the line Alpine amps in his GN if there was no difference in sound quality?

He should have saved himself a few thousand dollars and used Kraco.
