Hifonics + Power Acoustics Advice

Hey guys, so I'm getting 2 Alpine 12" type-r SWR-1243d with 600w rms, so 1200w rms combined and looking for an amp now. I want to spend $150 or less.

I see the Power Acoustics BAMF2000d, STAX2000d, and CPT1-2200d. Now the first two are 1200w rms @ 1 ohm and the last is 1300w rms @ 1 ohm. My question is which is the preferred model, I see that they are all about the same price but appears the BAMF is the highest quality but the cpt is 1300w rms. Can anyone help me out with which would be better for me?

Also, I found a Hifonics TXi1508D for 150 with 1500w rms @ 1 ohm. Should I go for the 1500w rms because I know a bunch of these are over-rated and the type-r can hold a true 600w rms?

If anyone has any other suggestions I would be open to hearing them but really want to stay under $150.

Thanks everyone

Bamf are not horrible at all just absurd ratings lol

they put out power you just have to do the math to know how much power they are truly doing.

PA makes alot of decent stuff that people do not even realize they are using lol

I agree with this. I've messed with a few BAMFs. None did rated, but all have taken beatings like a champ.

yup had a customer that thought his 5000 was a true 3kw he was really pissed when i showed him the math then proved to him it was only doing a lil over 1450 rms lol

but at the price he paid he was only mad for a minute lol

but he needed that 3kw ( or at least a solid 2200 for his HCCA ) so he bought a brz2400 lol

Thanks for all the positive responses, I was expecting some people screaming about reading old posts lol I try but typically it's tough to find info on the exact comparison of what you're trying to find. I think I will throw in the extra $20 and get the hfi1500D.

Thanks again

Hey, one more question for you guys. This will be my first system with a bass remote, should I bother installing this in the cab or do most of you just leave it at one setting, I pretty much just listen to rap/hip hop. I'm installing this in a 2010 camaro and the battery is in the trunk, so the bass remote is the only thing I would have to run up the car and I would rather avoid this if unnecessary/pointless.

That's what I was thinking but didn't know if people liked them in the car so they could adjust it often. Personally I would rather just get things right once and leave everything alone.
