Hifonics installation

I am going to be runnning a Hifonics Brutus BX1000d and a Zeus ZX6000. It will give my sub 1000x1 @1 ohm and the Zeus will give my components 150x2 @4 ohms. How should I wire the amps up? Can I just daisy chain from the Brutus to the Zeus and still recieve all the power, or should i get a fused distro block? Also with this kind of power am I going to need any upgrades to my electrical system to handle it flawlessly? Thanks in advance.

Just get a distro block and upgrade your big three.

Not essential but i would do it. And no daisy chaning will not work.

fused distribution blocks are cheap and the proper way to get the job done. you should have a fuse at both ends of the main power wire (battery and at amp) so everything is protected.

you only need a fuse at the battery

the fuses in the amp protect the amp, not a fuse on the power wire

Just to add to that, the fuses on the distro blocks protect the wires in case there (squeak) is a short.

exactly, the main fuse and the fuses in a distro block are to protect the wire, not the amp

he's running 2 amps, a fused distribution block in the back would be the most practical route to go to get his stuff hooked up.

If he is keeping the same guage wire he wont. But if hes gonna run 1/0 guage than to a distro block and 4 guage to the amps id recommend it.

what gauge wire do you guys reccomend? 1/0 to the trunk (fused by battery) and into fused distro block, then 4 gauge to the amps? Also about doing the big 3, the car is a 2000 acura integra. Should I still worry about the stock electrical sustem having problems without the big 3? I would prefer not to do the big 3.
