Im super new at this, its my first system, did you look at the pics i posted, the amp doesnt look well.

i dont mind buying another i just want to prevent blowing them out. I hear about gains, where do i set that, my radio has a base control between 0-15. now the amp has a few controls that read as follows

Sub Sonic: from 15 Hz -50Hz = set at 30Hz

BASS EQ : from 0db - 18db = set at 15db

Low Pass: from 35hz - 250Hz= set at 100Hz

Phase :from 0 degree - 180 = set at 80 degree

Level :from 9V - 0.2V = set at 3 V

Yeah, your caps have exploded. You prolly need to repair the amp now if you still want to use it

what specs are you looking for in an amp? if you want to prevent it, i suggest setting your gains properly. I dont know if its the cause for your blown amp, but you know, rather safe than sorry.

i ordered a DMM on ebay, now once i get it how can i set gains i might just buy another Hifonics but i want to make sure i do it right this time. i have a Kicker L7
