HiFonics going into Protect !

I have a Fosgate 450.4 amp the HiFonics Brutus hooked up to a Fosgate CAP. i reset the power on the HiFonics and the ground. whats that skinny blue wire called? i reset that one too.

Turn the bass boost all the way down.

Buy a DMM from radioshack and check your voltage in your car.

Make sure you aren't clipping your amp.

Check your power and ground wire - especially the ground. My ground has come loose quite a few times.

Clipping occurs when an amplifier is asked to deliver more current to a speaker than the amp is capable of doing. When an amplifier clips, it literally cuts off the tops and bottoms of the musical waveforms that it's trying to reproduce, thus the term. This introduces a huge amount of distortion into the output signal. Clipping can be heard as a crunching sound on musical peaks.
