hifonics Collossus still goes into protect

I have a 220 Ea alt w/ external regulator charging at 14.9 @ 2000rpms without a load, with a load it will charge at around 13.9 @ 2000rpms. A kinetik 2400 along with a powermaster 3100 and big 3 upgrade. Every now and then, the amp goes into protect. It is wired @ 2ohms. What is wrong? Ps...speakers are 2 15" Fi Bls...
