Hifonics Bxi2008 for R's?

again i have a question. Would this amp be good to power my 2 12" Type R subs? hifonics is overrated, so i'm guessing it will put out like 1600-1800 watts. I was think about giving my r's like 700 each. Is that too much for daily? Do you think this amp will be good? I may have to set the gains lower.

 
how many watts you have yours giveing them?
As much as the bxi 2006 can give them, I've never measured it though. But probably somewhere between 8-900 each I'm guessing. And to go even further I used a maxxlink to strap two bxi2006's at .5 ohm a piece for my last competition. So they were seeing probably 1600+ a piece and took it like a champ. I'm more worried about smoking the amps than blowing the subs .

Yep, at the amplifiers. I get the same 14.7 volt reading when they cutoff too.

Pull it and test it at the battery post. Simple Power up test to verify if it powers up fine out of protect mode. if it does then Id be checking...

I have a Gemeni VII, Heucules VII, Pluto VII, and a Vulcan VII left out of a massive slew of VII and VIII series. They still work Excellent...

Yes, they are painted. The cover is very easy to take off and repaint to whatever color of choice to match the install.
