Hifonics BX1500D Birthsheet

Eh Dere Hi Dere Ho-ser
Need one ASAP ... or a bench test ... or something that actually proves it 1500 watts ...

Gauntlet woke me up ...

P = I x V

120a x 12.5v = 1500w

- efficiency (call it 70%)

120a - 30% = 84a

84a x 12.5v = 1050w

84a x 14.0v = 1176w

Don't think they have birthsheets...at least i didn't get one. I'm actually wondering the same thing, but i don't think it really matters.
No, they don't come with birthsheets ... just seeing if someone by any chance had one.

And it really does matter to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I need to know if it actually does the 1500 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ahhh, well, it really doesn't matter to me. Now, if i get a XXX, then it'll matter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Now only 2 things can occur for me to get an XXX, either i get a new truck(extended cab for sure), or i do a cut-through(in the words of my dad, "when hell freezes over").

that is only the watts at musical peaks. Usually it is alot less. The cadence A7+hc says 1400 watts @ 1 ohm and less than 80 amp draw so maybe the hifonics can do it.

Well, before I bought I did some research on it and it seems like they are noy over rated but infact they are under rated. However the actual output is like 25 or so watts greater then the advertised wattage so it is pretty much negligible (sp???). The Brutus 1000xd put out like 1028 at 1 ohm instead of 1000 and the 1500xd put out like 1521 at 1 ohm. They are pretty much what they say they are. These were from bench test. I wish I still had the link though.

Yeah, I wish you still had the link ...

Wonder if those tests were the power at a musical peak, burp power ... not everyday normal driving conditions.

Only thing is, the math still doesn't add up to those ratings. It's only approx., but it's not even close.

hmmm this is interesting b/c those were 2 of the amps i was looking at (hifonics bx1500 and the cadence A7HC) So do you guys think those amps do their advertised power?? B/C if they are only around 1000 wrms i will just keep my RF for that matter!!

I am suppose to get my amp on monday so I probably going to have it bench tested to see. I am just going to have to find a local car audio shop other than circuit city. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Yes, yes you will //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I dont have a benchtest....and I dont have anything to prove it, but I can agree with it putting out 1500 watts. I have 2 12" SE's wired 1 ohm on my BX1500D, and when I turn it up it is deffinently pushing my subs to their max and beyond that. The amp has got power, enough said.

Amazing, I'm going to send you my 1500D-R and get you to plug it in and tell me how much it puts out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gif

I'd love to see that link.....I've played around with my BX1500D quite a lot over the last two weeks, trying different settings and combinations with the gains and volume and Bass Boosts and LPF's and all that......and I just can't get it to sound that much louder than my old Tsunami db1100D........it certainly puts out a lot of power, but it wasn't quite what I expected......that's why I'm getting a Soundstream Tarantula 1600/2. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :thumbsup
