First off the signal wire is wired into the acc gray wire in the radio which is stock
The problem
The amp logo wont turn on unless signal wires bridged directly to amp power and hesitates when turned on unless its bridged?
With the signal wire it takes 10 seconds after the vehicle is turned on to activate the amp and the logo does not turn on
With the signal wire plugged into the amp and a wire from the 0 gauge bridged to the signal it shorts out and kills the entire system to my knowledge the signal wire has a short some where.
How could 12v signal be grounding out thought the radio acc wire??
Just doesn't make any sense
I'm running the factory radio any other placed to wire the signal into that's key on?
Thanks
First post!!
just checked voltage
signal wire is 5v
power wire 12v
power and signal wire with the ign on is 6v? something isn't right should be 0..
there is also polarity between the negative terminal/wire and the signal wire
hope i posted in the right place.
using (A)3 says its a ground but also 12v. @7.5A
R 4(A) RADIO AND PLAYER OR STEREO POWER AMPLIFIER
(A)3–GROUND: APPROX. 12 VOLTS WITH IGNITION SW AT ON OR ACC POSITION
(A)4–GROUND: ALWAYS APPROX. 12 VOLTS
(A)7–GROUND: ALWAYS CONTINUOUS
