what is your budget and what are you expecting out of this amp?

i had the lower older model (bx500d) and ran it at 1ohm (500rms) to a 15" kicker solobaric L5 and then to some 2 12" kicker l7 and it hits hard enough for me.

IMO, a great amp if your on a tight budget. also known to be overrated.

it is a good amp for the price but you can get better stuff

Sub? Coil Config? Box? etc...
