Hifonics amps?

Anyone have any luck with hifonics amps?

I purchased a 2006 Brutus 1600w about a year ago, 6 months later it just died.. Was jamming one day, then the protection light came on.. I shut the amp off and turned it back on, no protection light, and no sound.. IT was dead from there on

Took it apart and the motherboard was cracked

I'm gonna be in the market for a new amp soon, and hifonics amps are just soo cheap.. But I'd hate to get another and have the same problem..

Also, anyone have any ideas on good priced amps, that either produce 1000-1500 at 1 ohm, or 2000+ at 2ohm?

The three BXi1206D's that me and my friends have... no issues as of yet. The TXi750 in my friends truck might have problems, but I'm not sure yet cause I haven't checked his system. All I know is his subs stopped playing.

i like the older bx models that are silver more, but i have a bxi right now it hasent gone into protect yet

Mine never really went into protect before

just went into protect then was dead this one time

I have a zeus 600w to my components that I'm very pleased with.. And I loved the 1600 for its cheap power

I sent my XX-Hercules in twice to be repaired. When i bought it (new), it came with a defective RCA output, when i got it back from warranty, the blue LED logo didnt work and later that day it stopped putting out power. Piece of crap

I use a Hifonics BXI2607d now and love it. not one issue yet. I just ordered a 2ch BXI series to match it actually

ya thats what worrys me

I feel as if hifonics CAN be good for the money, but also feel that they can **** up more often then others

I think I may end up going with a kicker amp for my next setup.. Since I already have a kicker sub and eq

I have an older xx-colossus, the long one. Its definitely a dependable high power amp. I'm doin 156's with it on 4 10's in my jetta.

My BXi2006 hasn't had any problems in the past year.
