hifonics amps is it BASS or GAIN knob?

alright so i installed my amp and when i set the gain i set it with the knob all the way up. now i looked at a couple of threads and some people were saying that its a bass boost knob others were saying gain knob? does anyone know for sure? i emailed hifonics to see what they say. but figured someone of you guys would no faster. if it is a bass boost knob them i want to get rid or it. thanks.

**** i should of made it more clear. the remote boost knob that looks like a phone line cord and you connect a knob that you put up front to adjust while lissioning.

The remote knob is Sub Level not a boost. I contacted the tech a while back about the same thing.

its called a dont use it knob becuase it will cause clipping knob = dead equipment

thats what i was wanting to know. but if it is gain knob than how would it cause clipping if i set my gain with the knob all the way up? so even with the knob maxxed out it is not going higher than what i set the gain at.

even if it is just bass boost i dont use it it also causes clipping

thats why i said it it was bass boost i would not use it. but it seems as its a gain control.

if anyone cares i got a reply from maxxsonics email and he said it is a level( gain) knob.
