Hifonics amp powered off, suggestions?

I was listening to music today in the car with nothing out of the unusual. At the end of one song the amp powered off completely and I figured it had just overheated. I was getting home anyways so I figured it would be fine the next time I got in.

I just got in and its not even powering on anymore. I checked the main fuse at the engine and its perfect, checked the fuses at the amp and they are also fine.

This installation has been good for a while so I don't know what could be wrong. Any suggestions on what to do?

Im going to buy a volt meter later tonight, but I don't really know how to check the voltage and all that.

I was reading that I should also reset the amp by disconnecting everything and reconnecting wires.

Model of amp: HIFONICS ZRX1200.2

edit: the weird thing is that the amp logo light is not even turning on

edit: just jumped a 14 gauge wire from the 12+ to the remote and nothing happened. What to check next?
