Hifonics amp info

Ok my friend has a hifonics 2000.1 Brutus amp I believe. It's running at 1 ohm on stock electrical system for now. He said he did a clamp test and got 960 watts ? Does this seem right. I have never owned anything hifonics, he is looking for a bigger amp now, bigger alt and battery on the way. But I'll Amit this amp is solid and has never quit working on him. But just looking for some info about this amp if anyone could give me real world use. Thanks

I also would like to see an awnser from someone, who deals a good amount with amplifiers, as I have a Hifonics BRX 1600.1 And I would like to know if these amplifiers give out rated power.

The brutus elite line does rated but all hifonics are power hogs from what i hear. You need really good electrical to get their full potential. You gotta remember they are rated at 14.4V so what the box says you will ONLY get at 14.4V

Gotcha. I'm sure once he does some upgrades to his electrical system it would open up. But he is looking for a 2500+ amp now.
