Hifonics amp for 2 12" R's?

Hey, I bought 2 12" alpine Type R subs, (4ohm). I know there's been TONS of threads on this subject, (and I've read all of them), but I wanted to ask a more specific question. I been looking at the new 2008 Hifonics amp models and want to know which one would be best to power these subs. I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to car audio, so if someone could help me out that would be great. also, would 500 RMS be too much power for each sub? thanks.

the hifonics 1208 will probably do the job though hifonics seems to be a little overated on their power......i have had 2 12" type R's for 1.5 years putting 1456 watts to them (bout 750 to each) in a sealed box and they have taken it just fine.....

People say those subs will take 750 each daily.

What is the voice coil configuration is it dual 4 or single 4 per sub.

This is extremely important. Don't run a bxi at 2 ohms.

it will be dual.....the type R's were only made with dual 4 or dual 2 voice coils....

Maybe a used sundown SAZ-1500D would be even better yet.
