Hifonics 1606D or kicker zx1500.1

kicker, kicker is usually underrated where as hifonics is usually overrated from all the stuff i've read and heard...

i like it alot actually. With my electrical i am probably only getting 1400 rms out of it though since it is overrated as well. The kicker at 14 volts probably does about 1600 rms easily since they are underrated.

hifonics = crappy internals.. i dont think they quite do rated power, they dont last long, and they arent clean..

the kicker will do about 1700 on average, lasts for ever if you take care, and is very clean.

2 dual 2's or one dual 4 or 1 depending on size and brand, maybe a digital designs or aq, fi, etc... dd3515 or maybe a fi btl 15"... any of those should hit really hard.

i'm guessing they do 1783 rms on a good day then. LOL........ I doubt it

Hifonics are great budget amps. I've ran hifonics and never once had an issue.

My 2607d did rated power, but i cant speak for the 1606.

My vote goes to kicker if you dont mind throwing down the bills. a 2 ohm load will be easier on your vehicles electrical, and it will be a guarenteed 1500rms

overall the hifonics is a better deal, i run it now and have no problems. I bet you can get 1500 out of it actually, but do you really want to pay double for the kicker just for 100 more watts?

id pay the 100 extra for the quality honestly. the hifonics will get you bumpin but ive run a that hifonics amp on 2 CVRs vs. a zx1000.1 and the 1000.1 was much louder and cleaner.

i'm guessing these two amps side by side benched you'll see more like a 400-500 watt difference, and the kicker will be more efficient...
