hifonics? 1500?

ok i have a limit of 250$ and im hoping to find an amp that runs 1000 rms at 2ohms does anyone know of anything better than hifoics 1500 at 1 ohm 1000 at 2ohms and 500 at 4ohms ive heard that they dont push as much as they say is this true? if so. what amp do you recommend? thanks alot.

Yes, they over rate their power claims. I honestly cannot think of any amp that's 1000 at 2ohms for that price without the name boss, pyle, pyramid, etc. on it.

Well, they are all rated @ 14.4... Plus they are a tad overrated. I forget the numbers, but I think they found the 1500 to push like 1200ish... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

the bx1500d does 1500x1@1ohm, 1000x1@2ohm, and 500x1@4ohm. the bx1000d does 1000x1@1ohm, 700x1@2ohms, and 350x1@4ohm.

Hifonics Amplifiers will put out what they say they will at 1 ohm. Anything other than 1 ohm and its kinda iffy. Ive already tested mine at 1 ohm into my sub and pushed a continuous 31.5 volts before clipping at 32 volts. And by ohm's law this states that it was pushing 992 watts into my sub all the while with a charging system voltage of 14.3 volts at the amp under full load. To be honest im a firm believer (sp?) in hifonics and theyre ratings.

And I know what alot of you are thinking that a sub's impedence chages with the frequency at which its playing, well I tested mine all the way from 20hz up to 50 hz and it never deviated more than .5 volts.

Here is the jbl 1200 from sounddomain for $200... My brother just got his and the heat sink is in perfect condition with no scratches or dings at all and of course the inside is new. hell of a steal with it being underrated from what i hear putting out around 1380 rms watts

He was gonna go with the brutus 1500 til he found this deal
