Get to know your h/u as well as possible before hooking up anymore equipment to it, and read as much as you can about proper amp installation and tuning before putting your subs/ amp in. It is critical that you don't go into it without some knowledge. You can find thousands of threads on here about the subject.

I ended up getting an Alpine MRX-M50 with a RUX-Knob. My friends are also pretty experienced with amp installation and the like, so I will have them help me out. Thanks for the link for my manual. I will probably stick with the stock speakers, unless they are in need of replacement (like torn surrounds or whatever). Still will definitely need to mat the truck..
