hi i am new to this (car stereo)

hi i have a car stereo at home and i want to be able 2 connect it to my

psu power supply so i ca use it at home and how do i connect it to the powwer supply witch wires do i connect isit best of conecting it to the cdrom drive or teh hardrive and do i need to have a motherboard pluged in2 it to work

eh... the yellow is +12 and the black is the ground

if its a newer one, you will need to jump some of the pins on the mobo connector to get it to power up

but what amp are you trying to use? most of those pc power supplies dont put out very much juice

my stereo is 15 amp i just wnat to run that just for the time being until i get my proper hifi thanks for your rply so

do i just connect the yellow n ground wire n it will power it up

my stereo is Jvc - KDG510 shal i connect it on to the mobo

oh yeah, if its just a headunit it should be fine.. you can connect it to the mobo but thats also gonna draw power... just search and try to find what pins you need to jump to power it up

av searched evry were man i cant find anythin i just tried connecting the yellow and black wire 2 the mobo but the mobo has more than 3 black wires

what u think i shoudl do now iv tried all the black ones same problem

you'll just have to plug the power supply to the mobo and then use that to switch it on
