This is basically what i am asking...

What type of RWS / Wattage should i be looking for? - For the subs (12") the amp, and 2 front speakers (Attempting to get a size on those now... soon as i get a responce from my car forum) (and my headunit is - http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-CD-MP3-Player-Head-Unit-CDXGT200/sem/rpsm/oid/134921/catOid/-13089/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) bought awhile ago, i love it, won't get rid of it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

- I want to be able to blast some sound loud enough for people to hear my music from a reasonable distance from my car(Not all the time though of course!) (*cough* ricer *cough*)

- Clear sound/bass, no crackling, because that annoys me the most, can't blast reggaeton with messed up base... that's like... illegal lol.

I had a thread on mp3 sound, but they referred me here... this is how it went basically: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=965794#post965794

But basically what i asked here, is what i need to know now. And there's lots of opinions on brands, so i think i am going to go strictly with the RWS/Watts, and look for stuff, as long as they are compatible, and a decent price, as well as a name i've atleast seen mentioned... no cheap brand crap...

Also, i hear something about a "compacitor" or something, to help not blow out my amp?? Those costly? and worth getting?

Well, i don't want to get too crazy, i'd rather be getting a paint job, but i figure w/ black friday, and since this is cheaper in general, i'd like to get this done first, along w/ lowering my car, since combined it'll be cheaper then the paint itself.

Anyways... i dunno, the set up atm, looks like around 400 bucks...(for amp+sub)

I have a dual 12" box... so something for that, and an amp. And i might as well amp my front speakers.(Heard that's the best anyways) I think 500 or so for all of it, and i'd be happy.

I might try and go for some sale prices black friday also, so if i can get a estimate of what type of specs i should be looking for, that would help the greatest (-:

so $500 for front speakers, 2 12" subs, amp for subs, and wiring.......

U might want to pick up an amp for ur front speakers too. I think ur gonna really have to go all cheap brands/stuff for what u want for ur price.

and u dont need a capacitor.

Well, just really looking for a basic idea of what kind of RWS/wattage i should be looking for to get accomplished what i said in the first post.

And yeah, amp for subs, 12" sub, amp for front speakers, and front speakers... basically the package i'm looking for, at a reasonable price. I guess you can say, i'm looking for the best bang for my buck? :p

Money isn't really an issue, but if it's too much, there's other things i could be doing instead, ie... i want my paintjob, but this+lowering, will be cheaper hopefully :p

There is really no rms (yes rms, not rws) power to accomplish what ur doing, it really depends on how it's installed. I have no idea what car/suv/truck its going into so I can't really help u on that. Spec's of the dual 12" box u have might help finding ur sub too.

I have a '94 ford escort, and it's in my avatar...

Hmm, what do you mean by how it's installed? Sealed box, and regular type of wiring(Which i don't do, got someone to do that part) - Not sure of any other factors :/

I can get dimensions of the box tomorrow to further the discussion, and see what ya say then

As for the fronts, that's where i'm having a problem. I have a set up with 500RMS /1000wat aub, with a 900wat amp at 2ohms. +my box. I could buy, for little under 500... (2x sub, and the amp) but of course i'd need wiring kits for it also... But fronts... nowhere can i really find anything for mine, and def not an amp for them, dimensions i'd need are "- 5.25" and a mounting depth of less than 1-7/8" -" So as you see, hard to find good ones.

And of course, if i don't need all that power, i would definitely not mind getting a cheaper set up, as long as i still get what i said in the first post, lol.

Ah, dimensions of my box are:

30.25(w) x 15.5(h) x 10.75(d)

Just looking for a decent system, to basically be able to have my sounds heard from quite a distance if i wanted to, and at the same time not sound crackling, and have a pretty strong base. - What type of RMS/Watts should i be looking for for each of:

- 2x 12" subs

- amp for subs

- 2 front speakers (5.25" :/)

- amp for front speakers
