hi do i need an amp switch

I'm using an mtx audio thunder 302 to a xdm 6825 deck. i bought a knukonceptz kca complete 4 gage wiring kit and an ssa dcon 15". do i need to buy a switch to turn on the amp, or will it turn on when i turn my deck on? thanks :]

As long as you wired up the remote turn on from your headunit to your amp, you don't need any sort of switches or relays for it to turn on.

The amp turns on using a "remote" wire from the deck to the amp, Usually it's a blue wire with a white stripe on the deck's harness, the wire goes to the "REM" terminal on the amp.
