Hey you evolutionists...

no, 17.... if he was 5 he would of said "my dad can beat up your dad" haha

all the christians here answer me this.... Basically L. Ron Hubbard wrote a couple of self help books, got a huge following, decided to start his own church and call it a religion so that he could stop paying taxes. He now has some 3.5 million followers.

ever think the authors of the Bible did the exact same thing? Kinda like a "history repeats itself" sorta thing.
Do they really not have to pay taxes? Daang... I'm all for it lol

Consider that 3.5 (and 1) million. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

JK(For mister down there>>>)

well im just stating simple facts. i read the last like five pages, and all anyone has to say is read a book. like it's helping anybody, or proving your point any further? i could sit here and say "read the bible" fifty times in a post, but i don't think it's going to convince you, but i could be wrong.

ps, teh bibel is a boook

you people make me sick

Daang... nassty... (I can now tell we evolved from apes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

K can we keep this on topic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif unless smashing me in the face will create a new species (Yada yada)

obviously. read my last post. why would people be getting killed over it if there was an answer? i love how people think that they know so much about evolution, like they're nobel prize winning biologists who figured it all out, and they're going to share something with us that is so amazing that our tiny minds can't understand it. so instead of sharing with us their immense, all knowing wisdom, they tell us to read a book. that, i assure you, i have read. it's cute //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
While i agree with you to a point, many of the dissenters of evolution in this thread have failed to show even the most basic understanding of a theory that they seem to think is brimming with flaws. Talking to some of these religious nuts is like talking to a wall, and it has frequently proven frustrating and time wasting to try and reason with them. Further, for understandable reasons most laymen are really just not comfortable answering questions on a topic that they're not experts in. We leave it to the people who have proven themselves authorities on the topic (and are also gifted writers that might make the answers much more readable).

And for what its worth there were many people who answered questions in this thread regardless of how ignorant(not meant disparagingly) they may have been.

Also, I know of no people "getting killed" over the evolution debate (raging solely in the pious United States), and even if there were it would not have anything to say about whether or not an answer is at hand.

i kno what you're saying about the nuts lol, but you'll have those on either side. and im not saying people are getting killed over the evolution debate. im talking about religion in general. many wars are based on it. you can't just say that there is no debate, when there CLEARLY is one. and you may say "well what does that have to do with evolution?". well it has everything to do with it. if evolution is so simple, and so obviously the answer to everything, then why are people still arguing and fighting over alah (sp?)? because there is no clear answer. i love threads like this, it brings out the stupidity in ca.com

o an evolutionists, answer me this. if evolution "was" true, why did it stop??? evolution is a constant development. but nothing has changed in the past 2k years. if we evolved from primates, why did we stop? if everything was made from evolving, why has it stopped?? you cant answer with a logical explanation bc there is none. evolution is a farce. an yall laugh an call christians stupid. look in the **** mirror.
Lets review:

Why did evolution stop?

Hahaha just had to bring that up again for at least the 2nd time on here for the few that might have overlooked it. It's the best.

You really think that you can see evolution in your lifetime or read about it in just the last 2k years? I see, you're looking for MAJOR evolution and not something tiny and seemingly insignificant.

No wait you're right. If you don't see it, it didn't happen so that must mean there is no such thing as evolution. HAAAA

Hey did you know that you don't have a penis every time you put on your pants? With your logic, it must be true.

Religion is based on faith. Faith, almost by definition, is belief in the absence of evidence. It should be obvious that belief in the absence of evidence is inherently divisive because people on each side of the debate cannot give coherent reasons for what they believe and when stakes are high they resort to violence. This is why religious sects are constantly clashing. In disputes we have two choices: conversation and violence.

EVOLUTION IS NOT RELIGION. It is science. It is observable, testable, and falsifiable.

What you see with the "debate" over evolution in the United States (I'm making the point here that this is a debate that happens almost nowhere else in the western world) is religious faith clashing with science. This is a continuation of the scientific encroach on religious authority that began during the enlightenment. This is why we don't burn witches anymore; because we know that when someone gets sick its because of disease not sorcery. The more and more science gives us a reliable depiction of the world, the more it erodes religious worldviews (depending on how specific and widespread the religious claims are).

to an extent, yes. but i disagree, saying that evolution isn't a religion. a religion, by definition, is basically a set of beliefs. do u not "believe" that things evolve, if u believe in evolution? that makes no sense.

obviously, the things u used as examples are true, but you CANNOT say that science may be wrong. how do u know? there is no way to be certain that our current science practices today are correct, just like 100 years ago. it goes back and forth, forever and ever. and i agree, science is testable and observable. but can u test and observe the changing of millions of species over billions of years? no. there are realtively few fossils (i use that term loosely) compared to the billions and billions of organisms that have inhabited this earth. as stated before, there is no conclusive evidence either way. im stating that, and that is all. im saying that all the people on here that are "pro-evolution" act like they were around when it happened, and that religious people are stupid for believing in something that is just as easily believable as evolution.
