The Thread doesn't mean anything to most people here. I've been here for a good while and a whole 2 of my 20k posts are in that thread.

It used to be "The Thread" ... thus the name. Thus the reason why there's 182,000 posts in it (not even including all of the deleted posts, of which there were many).

The point is it's 2 days after Christmas and 4 hours after my last post there are only 165 new posts and there are only 108 members online at 12:30 PM PST. 7-8 years ago, you likely would've had 200 or more posts an hour this time of the year (with active posting well into the middle of the night) and over 300 members online at around midnight PST.

- 14 threads were active today in Off Topic. Would've been 1-2 pages worth of active threads this time of the year several years ago.

- 19 threads were active today in Subwoofers. Would've been 3-4 pages worth of active threads this time of the year several years ago.

- 0 threads were active today in Product Reviews ... during the Christmas season! Last one was 2 days ago!

- It's been over a week since anyone posted in Car Performance and Repair. A week!

This site is dead compared to what it used to be. Hell, I'm a member of some local forums that are getting more posting activity than this.

Sadly my local forum gets more real SPL related posts than this forum.

I remember 4-5 years ago when we used to do nightly raids on other sites from the dome...shit was mad funnah. My girlfriend would look at me like I was crazy because id be laughing so hard at the tardness on here.

Goob didn't run it into the ground himself, just the mods did. Thats all.

I've returned after being out of car audio for a while and I agree that this forum is just a shadow of what it was. The classifieds and this Thunderdome get more travel than the tech sections.

I miss ECA.
