Been a while buddy and appreciate your help in the past. My question is. I sold my HDS312's due to the fact that I cant leave well enough alone and get bored easily. I want to take a single HDS315 and put it in the box my 12's were in and feed it the same power( BA2600.1) Box is 4.91 tuned to 33. Will this work?

So you're taking a box that had two HDS312s in it and replacing it with one HDS315?

Why? You're reducing cone area and halving power handling.

Size and tuning-wise it should be okay, though.

Going to a d2 so the amp will be essentially putting out the same power, just to one sub. I'm just changing things up. I've always just had 12's, never had a 15. The box specs look to be ok to my un trained eye

You'd have to understand my genetics, how I'm wired. My granpa (rip) put a 12, 10, 8, 4 6.5s in his 1984 dodge Aries k, to cover the frequency spectrum of the classical music he would listen to, you could hear him 5 blocks away. It's in my blood lol

Less displacement with the one driver so the net cubes will go up some and tuning will go down. Add some 2x4 pieces to the inside to even it out. Should be fine on that power.

Yo, skip the hds. Go straight to an HDC with that box

it'll be less loud than the hds312s if its the hds315. It might match the 12s with the hdc3. Even on low power, it should surpass the 12s with an hdc4.
