At the same time, you squander the opportunity to network and meet people. I get what you are saying, but it's all a trade-off. I am paying for my education with the belief that it will land me a decent job, capable of paying off these loans. Perception reigns supreme. Not trying to say that community college provides a worse education. But when it comes down to it, state university education > community college. Stanford > Northern Illinois. I want to put myself in the best situation to land a good job.

yeah for sure dude but if you take your basic courses at community college save your self thousands by the time you finish your degree and slap that in thier face from a university they wont know where you took a few classes or give a **** .

It depends on what you are doing, accountant, sure get some courses at the local cc, nuclear physicists you might just want to stick to a university.

True. But once again, there are benefits to beginning and ending your career at a single college. If you happen to save ten grand by attending CC for some generals, where does that amount land in the grand scheme of things?

..and this is the result of that failing effort...as of this moment 20 States have filed petitions requesting secession from the Union of the U.S. Toothless wishes..or no? I am not certain this is a political solution, but as we all know, A House divided cannot stand in any form.

Very small percentages of these states. I could begin a petition if I wanted. Doesn't mean that it would reflect the greater portion of the population.

what we need is our tax system replaced with "THE FAIR TAX".......it would give the gov tons of revenue and everyone that works would pay NO TAXES.......no income tax, capital gains, property tax.........Imagine getting your ENTIRE paycheck..........and before someone comes along and says it would be a tax on the poor thats incorrect........

Everything we buy right now has 22% of embedded taxes in it.......that is removed and replaced with a 23% national sales tax.....so a gallon of milk or loaf of bread will cost exactly the same.....

It would help the poor because no one pays the fair tax on their necessities based on the poverty level...you are given a credit every month towards your necessities

and the people that want the rich to pay more they will with the fair tax....hence the name......wealthy people buy higher priced items therefore they would pay more tax........its the perfect graduated tax system........

but the reason the government wont even consider it because it would be the SINGLE largest transfer of power from THEM back to US........I love the idea....no more IRS

I have always thought a national sales tax(basically another name for it) would be the way to go. I would like to see the tax on foreign made goods increased to about 50-60 percent.

Read up on "THE FAIR TAX" guys........It would 100% work and repair our economy and this stupid azz tax system we have would go away.......It's a bill in congress but I don't remember the number off hand.......A few congressman have entertained the thought but if it came up FROM THE PEOPLE IN GREAT NUMBERS it would have a better chance of happening.........

Yes, very miniscule percentages...but considering the numbers as a whole, you are looking at 90,000+ folks signing those petitions...and these have only been accumulating for a matter of hours (72 hrs, give or take)
