it matters which ones, and prefeb boxes usually arent that great. everyone around here seems to love the l7's and cvx's.

As Kicker makes several different series of subwoofers which kind, specifically, did you buy?

Comps? Comp VRs? Comp VXs, Solobarics? Whatchu got?

edit* just saw your amp post. i would say you get what you pay for...meaning it most likely wont put out close to its rated power
