Hey, got a few q's about my Jensen UV8

hey yall, i put in my jensen Uv8 monitor in a week or so and i'm wondering if its supposed to show one of those fancy lookin screens when i have my ipod plugged in, now it only shows "no video input signal" (it still plays my songs tho) but i think its cause i'm only using the 3.5 audio cord that it came with, i believe it would show the other picture if i get the other ipod cord. also, whats the best way to run that parking brake switch.

You will need the iPod cable to get the on-screen controls. And IIRC you can enable video playback somewhere in the menu (settings maybe?). One of my installers where I work did it this way.

That I do not remember. He did it so quickly I couldn't keep up with the menu path. I work tonight so I will see if I can figure it out.

if anybody has this unit, could u show me some pics of what ur's looks like under the ipod control screen. just curious cuz the graphics dont look nothin like the unit i bought off ebay

nevermind i just found the code, on how to bypass the parking switch, and it worked, it was also very simple too. thanks anyway.

shouldnt there be a cord that u connect to any ground and avoid the parking swith? or did i get the question wrong?

there is a separate (pink) wire, that u have to run in order to watch dvd's, and thats with the park brake engaged. but i found away that i dont even have to run that wire.
