Kenwood excelon KDC-X891. any good?

is that head unit any good? its seems like it has the same specs as a 9887 but much cheaper. it can do active right?

does anyone have experience with it?

Any of the Excelon line are good! Youll' really like this one, good price too. I have the X-990 and love it! SQ is just outstanding.

I had the excelon X-791 and SQ is outstanding on these excelon headunits. Also the excelon amps are really nice to for the money.

I liked my older x889 better than my new 880prs if that tells you anything. This is two models newer and I dont think kenwood has made any bad changes to these things.

we sell the 891, its a great unit for sq and looks really nice in person

kenwood makes some nice units

I've been running the x889 for a couple years and love it. The only problems that I have had have been minor. There have been a couple cd's that it wouldn't spit out too well and the remote isn't as strong as I would like it to be. I have to have the remote facing dead on with the cd player in order to get proper signal. Sometimes this is a pain for spl when you need to be outside of the vehicle.
