Hertz or Boston?

I need two pair of 6x9 to go into my car. Guy said he would give me two pair of either the Boston SL95 or Hertz (i forget exactly which ones) for $500 out the door (install n all). Just wanted to know what you guys recommend overall. I mainly listen to hiphop/rap/trance. I'm looking for mids/highs.

I got the hertz hi energy 6x9's in my car and they sound great, really crisp and really clean.

You can get them for 155 off ebay (310 for two sets).

Haven't heard Hertz's but I like Boston.

SL's are nice, just depends on which line of hertz

you sure it isnt the boston Sx's? SL's srp is like 300 apiece, Sx are like 200

you wouldnt go wrong with either, both are great companies

Both are high end. Since you are looking at getting them from a dealer, why not listen to both? If they don't have them setup, make them. Your willing to spend 500 bucks they can take 10 minutes and plug them in and get them setup for you. You can easily make a decision that way.

Why are you going with 6X9, if I may ask? Not a very popular speaker size.

I am running Boston 6x9's. They are a few years old, I believe they are the Nx series, or something like that. They sound great, but are lacking a little bit in the mid-range. If I were to spend the money again, I would definately buy a set of 6 1/2's and make the adapters. I can't wait to replace these with a good set of components.

The Hertz are the HCX 690. The Bostons are SL95. Right now I only have the Infinity Ref 6923i in the front. Anyone have anything to say about 9623i? I plan on getting the amp listed in sig to run those. I'll see how they sound amped up and then if I don't like what I hear, go and listen to some more. Thanks for everyone's help.
