So I just got these in the mail tonight after I bought them on Ebay from dynamicaudiosound (power seller w/zero bad feedback). I noticed that all serial# have been removed for the various areas of the mid, tweet and crossover. I am assuming they are real but the stickers are removed to void the warranty? If they were fake they would leave a false serial# on the components? Please see my pics I would appreciate any and all feedback. I paid $594.95 - MORE PICS IN NEXT POST

This is why I wouldn't buy Hertz other than from an authorized dealer. These pages will help you determine if real or fake.

You can also email pictures and such to Hertz and they will tell you. A dead giveaway will be the speaker wire on the tweeters. If they are real the speaker wires will be finely braided. I saw a set of fakes once and the speaker wires were straight inside the wire jacket.

they look pretty real to me. its hard to see in the pictures but everything looks straight. it appears the product HAD serials and they were removed. fake ones usually don't have serials at all. they look legit to me and i sell them.

I appreciate the feedback!, is it common for UNauthorized internet retailers to sell authentic and remove the serials? I was thinking if they were fakes, they would try to fool you with false serials and leave them on.

its common for authorized dealers to remove serials. hertz and audison don't allow online sales. any product sold online is automatically not authorized, they say so on their site. They are picky with the shops that carry their product. If the shop carries their product they want that shop to install that product to ensure it's done correctly.

You may want to forward those pics to Hertz and see what they say. A lot of time counterfeit products are cheaply mass produced and the serial numbers are all the same on every single piece they product Resellers often times remove the serial numbers so they can hide the fact that they are fake.
