Hertz HCX 165's ??

I wouldn't buy Hertz on eBay, too risky with all the fakes out there.

Some hi end speakers can be bought on eBay like JLs, BAs, Image Dynamics etc without such a high risk of fakes.

On the amps, I'd just wait till u can afford to do it right man. That other idea just sounds terrible to me. Too many risks for little gain....maybe look into other Amps than JL HD if u wanna save cash and buy sooner...

Well, thanks to you're and K_H_A's advise everything is sounding pretty nice right now. So, I can afford to wait for a minute or two. I'm just kind of stuck right now with all of the possibilities and what step to take next. I could spend $600 to $800 and get a custom ported enclosure built or I could take the guy at the dealer's advise and trade my amp in on a HD900/5

for around $650(plus my amp as trade) OR...I could spend my money on a really good set of coax's to replace my BA sr's (But, if I do this...I wouldn't be able to have my amp bridged like it is now, thus lacking power to all my speakers again)

I don't know...smh:confused:

Well, they're going to build it into the side of my back cargo area. (copying the steathbox design only ported) So it won't just be a box back there...) Said they would need my car for about four days to do it.

Still ridiculous IMO. A local shop to me does em for like 125-150 those were sealed but gives u an idea.

The other issue (and why I haven't had it done yet) is they said that they would have to have my car for at least three days to do it. "to make sure the fiberglass sets and is formed correctly"

I've heard that said before, not sure how much truth there is to it though as I don't really work with fiberglass much. Most fiberglass work done in my car was my kicks.

I guess if they say give em 3 days, don't rush em lol. Better to just wait and have it perform well and look nice.

Yeah, Kind of what I was thinking...Just hard to not have a car to drive to work though. lol And, that's why I'm thinking they are saying "between $600 to $800" because they can't tell me exactly how long it'll take to do (get right) especially with the port.
