hertz for upgrade?

id love to but those are a little out of the price range hahaha! what are your thoughts on the HSK 165s?
Actually they arent. People sell them relatively often on Diyma. You can get a KILLER 6.5 and tweeter for $500. There are better speakers out there than the xl's and for less than asking price.

Find a 2 way that beats them for $500. Everybody says Scan. Well the compatible Scan set with a tweeter that struggles under 3k cost more.

for a 6.5. im not really sure but for a tweeter. This is pretty much widely seen as the best bang for the buck tweeter.

Audiofrog is supposed to be super great and its a boner on Diyma right now so everyone is buying/selling them all the time over there.

Look at off axis. It's horrible. And it ***** under 3k.

And Audiofrog is very $$$ for a China speaker.

So? I dont think tweeters should ever be off axis anyway. i fail to see the 3k mark. Fs of 700hz, not that you should run that low.

Audiofrog is andy wehmeyers company. The Quality is there and just because its made in china doesnt mean...anything. your tv was made in china. Most your shit is made in china. Quality control is what matters.

As for DIYMA. People are always selling everything all the time. Funny how the ones selling everything are never satisfied.
I think thats because they have too much money to burn and because they dont see the true aspects of a good tune. Tuning is everything. You can make pretty much any speaker sound amazing with proper x-overs and a good tune

I like Andy. He is more than helpful. Even now I PM him on Facebook about the MS-8.

You are talking like I haven't done this for a long time. And no a tweeter should not be on axis, that's why yours are fatiguing. 30-45 degrees.

With the frogs. You are paying for all the install parts also

What makes it fatiguing to be on axis and i believe its reflections that are fatiguing. where i have them mounted atm has a direct reflection within an inch.

But you are getting fatigue. So I guess it's not. People think they are buying a Alpibe F#1 when they buy scans. No they are not. Totally different speaker
Its almost definitely reflections that are making it fatigue. I can throw a shirt around the tweeters edge and it suddenly sounds so much better. when i glass a-pillars soon. Ill try to deal with diffraction and reflections in one go. Plus an ugly sound asorbing dash mat.
