Would really appreciate your help – am sure this is something very simple!

Just about to fit a JVC double din (JVC KW-DB60AT) into my Qashqai. Have the right stalk adapter and aerial adapter and also an optional JVC bluetooth kit.

I need to connect the bluetooth kit to the blue/white remote wire from the HU for power, but I also have the aerial adapter which seems to need to connect to that wire too.

Am I right in thinking I could connect the aerial adaptor to a spare red acc wire coming out of the HU instead?

Thanks so much for your help! Have been scouring the internet for days but can't find the answer.

Red acc wire needs to go to the cars ignition switch on the wireharness.

Connect all the blue/white wires together with a butt-connector (bluetooth, aerial, and blue/white wire from HU.)

- Blue/white wire from hu sends a signal to turn on amps, antenna's etc.

Thanks for the reply West. There is already one red wire going into the wiring harness, this one seems to be spare, doesn't connect to anything else.

I actually did the crimping last night in prep for fitting tomorrow and connected it to the spare red accessory cable. Do you think I should decrimp and then reconnect the 3 together like you suggest? Or should it work how i have it anyway? Cheers!

Does your car have an externally amplified speaker system? Because if it does it may be tricky and you will need a special wireharness.

If your car does not have an externally amplified speaker system...

Some stock wireharness's have two sets of ignition switches. You need to connect the decks ignition turn on to the ignition turn on in the wireharness it's OK if one of the red wires is unused.

Your power antenna wire should be on the wire harness. And the bluetooth turn on wire should also be connected to the blue/white wire from the HU. It may look a little funny but all three of the turn on leads should be connected at a "T" with a butt connection.

- Sometimes head units have separate blue (antenna turn on wires) and blue/whit (amplifier/accessory) turn on wires, in which case you can use the blue for

the wire harness and the blue/white for the bluetooth.

There are bound to be a few extra wires left on the wireharness, as long as you have the necessary wires connected to the right place you will be fine.

Hope this helps.

When in doubt you can always call JVC support as a last resort!

That's a huge help, thank you.

I'll decrimp what I've done and connect both the Bluetooth and the Antenna to the same blue/white remote lead from the HU. Presume I can just use a normal butt connector with two cables in one end and one in the other?

One more question on the ground cables - the car's harness doesn't have a ground cable so the HU harness adaptor has a ground cable with a ring connector. Am I fine to wrap the ground cable from the bluetooth unit and this ring connector around one of the mounting screws for the cage and get a ground that way?
