Yeah but even the best installed 18's wont hit the higher notes like a smaller sub would, even though they sure do hammer the low ones. The best all around size would be 12-15", and theres a lotta subs in that range can can pound like hell. Id still go witht the 13W7 if you got the money

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was gonna say. If you consider sq an all-around/all-frequency sound fest of harmonic symphony, then I don't think you'd get it with 18's.. unless you had some good midbass in there somewhere.

put them in 1 box port it.there ya go...did u say u have a extra 1000d?would u consider selling it?

about the 1000d: no, at the moment i only have one (like i said) pushing the two 15W3s. i might have said that if i have to get another one i will, but with the 15s i have it's fine.

so does everyone think i should pot them in one box (ported)? the box won't fit in the middle of my trunk straight up, is it OK if i put it at a slight angle facing up?

personally i would take the xxx 18 over a 13w7, you would spend less and get almost twice the cone area which would give it some potential for getting louder than the sq oriented 13w7. but the thing is all drivers are the same basically (in a sense) so if you did get the xxx you could make that sound awesome as well as loud.
