Hey guys just looking for some help, just put in a set of kicker 6” and tweeters in the front running off the head unit and sub and amp, I wanted to take the bass out of the fronts completely just to use the bass through the subs and adjust with the gains but when I turn down the base in the hu it turns down the bass coming from the subs..... never had this problem and it’s doing my head in, any help would be appreciated cheers

If you aren't running your sub amp off the sub pre-out(given your deck has one) that's gonna happen. If you give us a little more info I am sure we can help you out!! What deck you running? High level or low level to the sub amp?

Thanks mate,the hu has sub out and rear out it’s currently plugged into the sub out, it’s Sony head unit and amp, even today after playing around with it I can’t get the subs to produce a lot of bass and the fronts start to distort not sure if it’s a setting on the hu unit that has to be changed but it sounds horrible at the moment.

Through the hu? Because there is no hp lp filters on the amp

From the pictures it looks as though your amp does have a lpf. You might want to turn it off if you are running a lpf from your deck? Or vice versa. Have you tried plugging your RCA into the other output on your deck? Tried unplugging your speakers which I assume are powered off the deck and seeing if the sub clears up?
