My sub blew the other day and now i need to change my amps settings so i get bass through my components. I had the high pass filter on so there was no bass coming through the speakers, just from the sub. Should i leave the high pass on and change the frequency or turn it off? As i want bass to come from my speakers just not sure of the best way to do it.

My amp - Alpine MRP- F600

Comps - Alpine SPR-60c

Cheers!

You'll just have to play around with it. Crank it wide open on a nice punchy, bassy song and lower the crossover until the speakers start to distort or bottom out.
So shall i keep the HP filter on or switch it to off and then do what you said?

Cheers for the reply!!

keep it on for the process. If u find that you have it at its lowest point at full volume and they are still not distorting or bottoming out, turn it off and see if they bottom or distort then.

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...
