I was hooking up my friends new Dual headunit in her 04 Chevy Aveo and the wiring is weird. Ive got all the wires connected except for one thats labeled power on, there is no matching wire coming from the car but there are 2 labeled illumination and dimmer. Ive connected it to each and when connected to dimmer nothing happens but when connected to illumination all the lights on the unit glow but nothing else happens. Anyone know why?

Is the wire red? If so u will have to run your own from the ign harness or fuse box...power on means a switched 12v source. Word of advise,get somethikng other then a dual

Dual is flea market crap.I would rather ride with a boom box on the passenger seat

dual will pay the bills if the customers want it. all becasue i dont like doesnt mean a $100 deck wont work for someone else.
