ok i have two re se's. I went outside opened the trunk and started to listen to them with my cousin. We started to noticed the right sub has more excursion than the left. its bottoming out and making a popping noise due to the excursion. What could be causing this or are they almost gone. any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks.

check the coil config make sure u didnt screw one up

i took out the sub and made sure the wiring was still making a good connection but, i didnt check the left sub though.

the coils looked fine and didnt smell.

i had a similar problem, turned out that one of the coils was shorting out in the terminal cup. make sure they don't touch each other, recheck all the wiring

ok its dark so ill be sure to check everything 2mar. could it be the spider is coming loose. friend said that could be possibly it.

check your wiring.

i think he meant check impedance, not connection. u may have the wire configuration messed up. besides that, im not sure whats going on there, u might need to whip out the dmm
