Help!!!

ok, so i was driving down the road today and all of a sudden my whole system shuts down and starts to make a humming noise....and my sub amp goes into protection....i stopped my truck and looked at it.....i unplug the RCA's running from my sub amp to my speaker amp....i then turn it on and my sub amp goes back to playing bass...just like normal....and so i plug the RCA;s from my speaker amp to my sub amp back in and it goes back into protect mode and makes the humming noise.....can someone help me!!??

bad RCAs or bad ground or you need to ground your headunit

also idk if im just having a hard time understanding this or its just me but i dont really get what you did to fix it

i have two sets of RCA wires...one set going from my head unit to my sub amp....and another set going from my sub amp to my speaker amp...when my sub amp went into protection mode i knew it wasnt the sub amp cause i just got it...so i unplugged the RCA set going from my sub amp to my speaker amp and all that was playing was bass and my sub amp was fine...but no music because my speaker amp had no RCA's plugged into it...

and its not an engine wine...its a wine in my speakers....but no music
