I cant get the door panel off my friend's car to install 5x7s, the window crank is in the way.... I just want to know if it pops off or screws off or what?? It's on a 2000 4-door ford escort.

I cant get the door panel off my friend's car to install 5x7s, the window crank is in the way.... I just want to know if it pops off or screws off or what?? It's on a 2000 4-door ford escort.

There should be a clip holding the crank handle. You can use a flathead screwdriver to pop the clip off, but it's easier to use the removal tool. Just go to your local auto parts store and tell them you need the tool to remove the window crank. It should only cost a couple of bucks and makes it a ton easier.
