Help?

I posted this in the hu section but it seems a limited amount of ppl go there so maybe i can get more help here... so i received my in dash unit today Kenwood KVT-717dvd and i installed it but im not sure what it is that i did wrong. I turn on my car and the player turns on but only for like 10 seconds then it shuts off by itself... I try to turn it on again but it wont do it unless i disconnect my battery and reconnect it. Any help would be appreciated...

Sounds like you don't have it grounded right somewhere or go through and re check all the wiring that u did make sure u have connectors on all of em or have em taped up if you don't have connectors but i would go through and check that first

hrmm, ill redo my grounds and see if that may be the problem. if not ill just redo my connections to see if i messed up anywhere. if anyone else has any input as to what the problem may be that would be appreciated.
