i got a "db drive" subwoofer 300rms 4Ohm stable. and i want to power it with a rockford fosgate amp. 400s.

100 W X 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS

200 W X 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS

400 W X 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS

how should i wire it??

also... i want to know if "db" is a good brand or not

thanx guys

is it svc or dvc??? i'll give you options for both tho....

svc....4ohm bridged....

svc w/ 2 subs....just wire one sub (4ohm/channel)

dvc each vc wired to a seperate channel.....4ohms

dvc in series will see 1/2 the amount of power the amp puts out at 4 ohms (8ohm load)

thanx again

Are they DVC's or are they bi-ampable meaning you can power the woofer and tweeters seperately ? never heard of DVC 6x9's before. Depends on the headunit. Some will allow you to bridge to two channels but most want. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well... the 6x9s have to connectors to each side (like the sub on the 3rd drawing) im only guessing its dual voice coil but could be like u said bi-ampable... what does a bi-ampable speaker look like?

The set of Blaupunkt Overdrives that I have are DVC, if they are bi-ampable it just means that one coil will run just the cone for midbass and one will run the tweeter or in my case cone and tweeter. Usually one coil is a fullrange coil and the other is a bass only.

I run mine parallel to my deck and I actually havent heard a difference. It might be risky if your deck cant hold a 2 ohm load though, the internal amplifier might blow.
