I'm in the midst of planning out my install for my component speakers.
Where I really want to place my tweeters is right next to the side rear view mirrors.
The diameter of the tweeters fit very well in that little triangle. But i'm wondering how I would get them in there, without them sticking out like a sore thumb like in that last picture.
Is there a special fit grill that can fit in those kinds of locations that I could buy? I know in more expensive cars, the factory tweeters that they give you are usually located there, so I would assume that there could be an aftermarket made for it?
If not, how would I make my own?
I was thinking maybe getting a peice of MDF, maybe 1/2" thick, cut it in the shape of that triangle, and take off that plastic piece, and cut a hole in both the MDF and the plastic piece so it could fit my tweeter. Then put the MDF behind the plastic cover, and any excess color left from the MDF, I could color black?
any other suggestions?
