i have 2 12" lanzar maxpro subs 2000watts total in a ported box with a xplod 760watt amp hooked up to it is this ok? bigger amp needed? if so what kind should i get thats not to pricey. thanks for feed back

I would take that stuff back to the pawn shop you got it from and get your $30.00 back. Then browse the classifieds on here and get some decent gear.

This, if you can at least. Those subs can probably handle around 400w each. If you can't send them back look for an amp that does around 800w @ 2 ohms (those subs should be single 4 ohm each).

I think the Lanzar Max Pros are DVC 4 ohm subs......I would prob try to find me something that does 800-1k @ 1 ohm and run with it!!!! Maybe Audiopipe or Hifonics HFI series.

audiopipe>hfi series amps. brz>AP the hfi line is trash

well the subs are gonna have to stay for now till i can get new ones but a bigger amp i can swing 800 watt at 2 ohms u say should suffice?

The sony amp should supply you some power if that's all you have, id tune the amp and keep the power/volume low.

ok so say i had 300 spending cash whats my next step with out adding interior speakers i have kickers for door panel and back dash

I ran 2 of those tens in a 1.6cu ft for each sub with a 2 1/2in x7 port,3/4in mdf,on an old school mean machine 99 in a 93 acura integra, and it BANGED!! Hit so hard that it made your throat hurt, and eyes squint!!I had them banging so hard that the dust cover blew off of one sub, and it was still banging for months!!Those are 4ohm dvc subs,so you need to try to achieve the 1ohm load will be hitting pretty good,as those should be 600rms subs ea., if not try to find a good 4ohm mono amp, or 2ch to bridge to 4ohms.I Think that a good Sound Stream amp Rubicon ,like the 1600 would really do good on those subs.Make sure you build a decent box/boxes for those subs, and it will surprise you!Ya they are cheap subs man, but they hit pretty **** hard installed rt, and I can testify to that.Imo Great subs for the bang for your buck!! Look at trying to get a good old school Zed made amp IMO Hifonics VII 2ch amp, or VIII, Us Acoustics 2150,or Mean machine amp, that Rubi would be all you need, and later will meet your needs for new subs when you get the funds.Like $199 free shipping and good warranty on e-bay

If I had $300 to spend rt now on an amp,and get my moneys worth, Id go to e-bay rt now, and go to autotek amps, and get those pair of BA amps for $250 free shipping,the SX275,and the SX2200,THATS POWER RT there!!and they look CLEAN! A pair of amps
