Help with subs?

A while back i bought subs and an amp. Right when i got them i tested them out and everything worked fine. Yesterday i tried to play some music with them hooked up for the first time in a month and the subs wouldnt play anything. The amp still powers on just no sound from the subs. What are some reasons why this would happen? i guess i couldve blown something during the install but if i did that im not sure the amp would even turn on. I got a new HU since I tested them the first time so maybe there a setting in the HU thats turned off? Any help would be great... Thanks!

yeah theyre conneected to subwoofer out or somethin like that... Im gonna put my old HU back in to see if it will work again. Anyone else have any ideas?

and does anyone know if i blew something in the amp if it would still power on?
